Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound stocks.
- Classify items of similar nature and manage an effective shelving for ease of access and optimization of time and efforts in material handling, following security principles.
- Ensure adequate data recording and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock movements.
- Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses.
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to the quality manager.
- Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment with the team members.
- Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Issue materials as per established procedures to make sure that these are issued as per requisitions received and delivery is made to the right person with the right quantity
- Coordinate and participate in special and scheduled stock counts as required.
- Upholds and maintains levels of service that ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Any other reasonable request of work task as allocated by the Line Manager.
Requirements
- Clean record
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
- Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a warehouse environment
- Competencies in data entry.
- Familiar with Excel and Office’s Suite.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
- Ability to operate safely and legally a forklift and willingness to maintain the permit.
- 2+ years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping is an asset
Language skills
- Fluency in both English and French.
- Another language is an asset.
