Pestana Hotel Group - Summer Internship – Cook (Algarve)

This is a paid Pestana summer internship for students seeking an understanding of the hospitality industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

• 
  Supporting the kitchen operation’s on the daily tasks and duties;
• 
  Proactive support to the kitchen team in the field of banquettes and à la carte;
• 
  Support in ordering, receiving and controlling goods;
• 
  Learn to have a cost-conscious use of all products and materials;
• 
  Attend to the hygiene conditions of all the food and materials, kitchen areas and other spaces., always ensuring its adequate cleaning, as well as carry out the other HACCP control – product validity control , cold and hot temperatures, etc.

Requirements & Preferences

• 
  Currently studying Hospitality or related professional degree;
• 
  Previous internship experience preferred;
• 
  Being flexible to travel in Portugal and Europe;
• 
  Attitude of commitment and passion;
• 
  Fun at work and willingness to contribute your own ideas, creativity and love for the product

  Enthusiasm and flexibility;
