Landstinget Dalarna is responsible for the healthcare and medical care in Dalarna. Primary care with units in each municipality is the base of the county’s health care. The General Practitioner, with his/hers team takes care of basic health care, maternity welfare, child welfare, and individual prevention. There are 2 Emergency hospitals in Dalarna one in Falun and one in Mora.

You have the possibility to work at the surgical department which has 2 wards – one with 25 beds open 24/7 and one with 9 beds open Monday-Friday.
The internal medicine has 4 different wards – all open 24/7. They have a wide spectrum of different diseases – lung, kidney, diabetes, cardiology to mention some of them.
