Estimator / Cost Engineer

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Drawing up cost calculations for vessels, varying from small repairs to complete conversions;
• Independently inspecting the vessels domestically and abroad;
• Decide on experience and present parameters, the necessary hours per task and provide a price;
• Requests quotations from suppliers for materials and resources in co-operation with the Purchase Department;
• Advising the commercial department during negotiations for potential projects.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor degree in Ship-building or (Marine) Engineering and preferably experience in Repair and/or Conversion, ship building or another maritime industry.
• Profound knowledge of estimating and cost structures.
• You are flexible, accurate and a team player.
• Your English, and French language, verbally and written, is highly proficient.
• Profound knowledge of MS Excel and other relevant software.
• Willing to work in France
