Villa San Michele, a Belmond Hotel, located on the hill of Fiesole (Florence), situated in an ancient Renaissance monastery. Its history dates back to 1411 when the Davanzati family donated the land to the Franciscan Third Order Hermits to build an oratory, which later became a monastery.
Today, Villa San Michele is considered one of Italy's finest boutique hotels, promoting stunning views of Florence. Outside, the Villa features Italian gardens overflowing with aromatic herbs, flowers and a wisteria vine over 150 years old. Our hotel offers 42 rooms and suites spread between the main building and terraced gardens.
Our dining experience is one of excellence, featuring: the Loggia, our gourmet restaurant offering three tasting menus; Ristorante San Michele, showcasing reimagined Italian cuisine, both housed in the historic loggia with panoramic views; San Michele Grill by the poolside; and finally, Bar San Michele for aperitifs in the sunset gardens.
Not to be missed is the panoramic pool situated on a grassy plateau above the gardens, accessible via a footpath.
