As System Engineer Servers & Datacenter you are responsible for design and maintenance of the data center and server infrastructure.

Your tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Management of server hardware (blade centers and rackmountable servers), server virtualisation (VMware vSphere) and application virtualisation (Citrix XenApp).
  • Defining projects that you realise independently, together with colleagues or together with suppliers
  • Determining the concepts and standards of the environment in accordance with the vision and strategy of the company.
  • Acting as the last internal link in the support process of the ICT department
  • Co-building a high-performance and stable IT environment

Profile

You have a bachelor's degree in ICT and you have at least five years' relevant experience. You are familiar with managing and supporting projects. You have knowledge of the assigned technology domain: Virtualization (VMware), Backup (Veeam Backup & Replication), Application Virtualization (Citrix XenApp), wintel server and datacenter infrastructure. In addition, you have a healthy interest in Microsoft Hyper-V, Scripting, automation and Security concepts. Finally, you have notions of ITIL and experience with ticketing tools.
