SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER (QA)
THE SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO ASSURE QUALITY THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE DEVELOPMENT LIFE-CYCLE AND BUILDING QUALITY INTO DELIVERABLES, WHILE PREVENTING BUGS FROM EVER MAKING IT INTO THE APPLICATION.
Our client, a leading developer and supplier of innovative and revolutionary digital technologies, are currently seeking to recruit a Software Test Engineer to join their QA team.

Reporting to the Development Manager and QA Team Lead and working alongside development teams, the Software Test Engineer will be responsible to assure quality throughout the whole development life-cycle and building quality into deliverables, while preventing bugs from ever making it into the application.
- Creation of test strategies, test plans and test cases to cover all features under development
- Run and maintain white box and black box testing, scalability and regression testing
- Keep in mind security issues, software metrics and execute path coverage techniques
- Implement automated tests, define processes and automated test tools
- Conducting of research and implementation of emerging testing technologies
The chosen candidate will possess a degree in IT, or a relevant qualification, together with 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role. You will have experience with JMeter, SoapUI or Grinder, and test automation development using JUnit and Selenium Webdriver. Additionally, experience in technologies such as Java and MySQL, and in a Unix/Linux environment are essential for this role. You will be a hard-working individual, with excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues, a passion for continuous improvements and the ability to prioritise. Working experience in Agile practises and/or Continuous Delivery will be considered an asset.
