Job offer description

We believe in freedom with responsibility, and we trust that you, with your skills and capabilities, can assist in reaching the best possible solution for our customers. With start of employment in February or March 2017, we are looking for several software developers to join us in Aarhus.

Get off to an exciting start on your career and seize the opportunity to develop and deliver valuable software solutions that improve the world for our customers.

The job

At Systematic, we believe that software - built properly and used professionally - can help create a better life and a better society for all. Regardless of the project you will be working on, you will develop software that removes the complexity and increases the effectiveness and that is easy and simple to use.

We will prime you from the beginning and make sure that you get the courses, tools and the professional sparring and feedback you need to implement the needs of the customer. In your future team, you will assist each other, and there will always be two pairs of eyes on your code.

You should apply for this job if you:

  • Want to have a working day where development happens in your project team. Typically, it consists of 6-8 developers with assigned architects, user experience designers and test managers – often in close contact with the customer
  • Look forward to Scrum planning, Agile working methods, feature-driven development, collaboration with other developers and participation in decisions regarding architecture

You will have responsibility, influence, freedom and opportunity to develop yourself along with committed colleagues. We constantly challenge the technology, each other and ourselves to provide the finest result and fantastic software – in close collaboration with our customers. We focus on your continuous professional development, and you help determine where your potential takes you. In the long term, it will also be possible to take a managerial route or become a specialist.

Your skills and personality

You have a theoretical background as a computer scientist, engineer or similar. You are preferably a recent graduate and passionate about applying your technological abilities. Which technologies you will be working on depends on the team and business unit you will be part of. Because of this, you have the opportunity to work with a wide range of technological solutions and methods, and you are skilled in some of the following technologies:

  • Java EE and/or .NET (C#), Groovy, Scala – particularly experience with Java will be an advantage
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript (AngularJS, JQuery)
  • SOAP, REST, HTTP, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP
  • XML, XSD, XSLT
  • jPA, SQL (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres)
  • Object-oriented design and design patterns
  • Test-driven development, profiling, optimisation
  • Continuous integration and deployment, scripting
  • Windows and/or Linux operational system

As a person, you are good at collaborating, and you contribute positively to the team dynamics. You are ambitious and are willing to continuously improve and develop yourself towards becoming and independent team player. You work systematically and always focus on the detail. It is the quality of your work that drives you, and you take pride in understanding complex solutions and the challenges of the customer.

Systematic offers

Our IT solutions make it simpler for the users to make critical decisions. In the defence and healthcare sectors, critical decisions often concern matters of life and death. In both the private and the public sector, our solutions must handle large amounts of data, e.g. in the library sector with more than 50 million yearly loans. To be able to continue the development of solutions that customers trust, we continuously challenge each other, our work processes and technologies. We have a highly pro-active education and training policy with defined career paths and internal pro-active Knowledge Networks.

We stay constantly focused on making everything better. Our unique combination of strong principles from CMMI and the best aspects of LEAN and Scrum enable us to develop reliable, high-quality solutions for our customers and to deliver them to the agreed price and deadline. We work in teams, and some of our teams include well-integrated insourced developers.

We prioritise a sensible balance between work and private life, and our agile approach provides you with an excellent opportunity of being able to plan your own tasks and working hours to a great extent. We value social cohesion at the workplace and have a very active staff association.

Because we also work with security classified projects, all Systematic personnel must have security clearance. Learn more at http://systematic.com/clearance.
