Within business area Power Technique, we use applications for supporting the business in our Power Technique Service division worldwide. These applications cover areas as eCommerce, inventory management, warranty handling, ticket handling and others.

The project engineer will be the single-point-of-contact for the business when it comes to IT questions and will be responsible for ensuring the IT applications used are working fine, by monitoring availability and performance, ensuring a good user adoption, following up on (preventive) maintenance activities, introducing continuous improvements, being in close contact and ensuring good performance of our IT partners (both internally and externally). He/she can interact very efficiently with business people by clearly understanding the business requirements, and with IT people by understanding enough of the technicalities to challenge whenever needed. He/she will be able to report efficiently to the business and IT organization the status of the applications and progress of his/her work.

The project engineer will report to the Customer Center systems and processes manager in the Power Technique IT team.

Profile:

Knowledge

The candidate for this position should have some relevant experience in service and supply chain applications and managing complex IT solutions. He/she has already actively participated in process improvement and software implementation projects. 

The candidate should have a strong interest in the improvement and automation of current processes and working methods. 

A very good knowledge of Dutch and English is a prerequisite. Mastering other languages is a plus.

Education

The successful candidate should have a high school or university degree in an economic, engineering or IT discipline relevant to the job.

Personality

He/she must be able to easily integrate within the team and share knowledge with fellow team members. He/she must be able to interact with business people, analyze their needs and elaborate effective solutions. He/she must be able to handle pressure and to meet strict deadlines. He/she must demonstrate efficient planning and organizing skills. 



The project leader will usually work in Aartselaar during standard working hours. However, he/she must be ready to travel to other locations and work outside standard working hours when needed.
