Power Electronics DC-DC Engineer

Job description

You would work in a design team lead by a Technical Responsible in following areas :

• The design of integrated electrical functions/modules during the entire life cycle of an equipment. You offer technical support to the design team and the Project Responsible.

Main activities

• Perform electrical specification and system studies.
• Define the architecture, product breakdown in elementary functions.
• Perform comparative studies of solutions, within the framework of optimal need-cost analysis.
• Validate electrical charts and their behavior during simulation.
• Decide on the validation of certain models.
• Manage/support test technicians.
• Analyze and criticize the Worst Case Analysis.
• Analyse and criticize failure modes, effects and criticity analysis.
• Analyse and criticize all constraints applied on components (part stress analysis).
• Write reports and various descriptive documents.
• Write test specifications.

PROFILE

• Electronical Engineer with a thorough knowledge of design of power switching converters
• Excellent knowledge of discrete design techniques (transistor level)
• Excellent knowledge of converters topologies designs techniques
• Excellent knowledge of regulation loops, stability, rejection, efficiency, etc…
• Excellent knowledge of EMC aspects
• Excellent knowledge of design robustness, worst case and part stress analysis of the components
• Good experience in an electronic lab environment
• Autonomous, ability to prioritize a workload, rigorous and inventive. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Respect planning and ability to work to deadlines, a high attention to cost optimization and client satisfaction.
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. French or Dutch is an asset.
