Job description

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and fellow kitchen staff to prepare meals during service times
  • Ensure that the food preparation area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness daily by clearing surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, washing and sanitizing kitchen utensils
  • Maintain accurate food inventories
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Maintain a neat and tidy appearance by wearing a uniform and adhering to a corporate dress code Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotate stock items as per established procedures
  • Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
  • Use specific kitchen machinery to create customized hot and tasty food items to our customers’ preferences
  • Work together with the kitchen team to prepare foods such as burgers, nibbles and salads while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements


  • Ability to stand for long hours at a time and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Able to work on a shift basis including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Must be able to speak and write in English
  • Previous experience is not necessary but will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
