Job Description
Healthcare Assistant to provide care to the elderly.
Role
Your role shall be to provide the highest standards of care to all residents within the Nursing Home and operate under the direction and supervision of the Nurse in Charge/Clinical Nurse Manager with overall responsibility to the Director of Care.
Responsibilities
- Support the Nursing Staff.in providing top class dedicate care to our residents.
- Assist with Resident Hygiene.
- Assist with Resident Nutrition.
- Assist with Resident Mobility.
- Assist in End of Life Care.
Job Specifications
- QQI/FETAC qualification in Healthcare or an equivalent Healthcare Qualification (Essential).
- Ability to work in a team environment (Essential).
- Professional, caring and respectful character (Essential).
- Confident to work in a sometimes-challenging environment (Essential).
- Possess good communication skills (Essential).
- Good spoken and written English skills (Essential)
- Ability to work in a shift environment during a rostered week, either by day or night (Essential).
- Practical experience in a caring environment (Desirable).
- Be familiar with HIQA regulations and required practices (Desirable).
