Your Tasks

  • Answer customer questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, breakfast, rates and room types, packages, promotions, locations)
  • Using sales techniques that maximize revenue such as: follow up on offers and upselling while developing new customers and maintaining existing customer loyalty
  • Negotiate terms of agreement and closes sales contracts via telephone calls and emails
  • Identify and escalate issues to Team Leads/responsible Sales Manager
  • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures
  • Recognize, document and alert the Team Leads/resp. Sales Manager of trends in customer calls
  • Represents MEININGER hotels during planned Commerce trips
  • Manages (interface) reservations, deposit payments, pre-travel-arrangements, invoices and deadline monitoring of all relevant groups activities and processes
  • Close cooperation with internal stakeholders such as: Sales, Marketing, Finance, Revenue and Operations
  • Assists in cross-departmental projects
  • Preparation of internal reporting and attendance at internal meetings 

 

Your Profile

  • High school or equivalent education required, ideally apprenticeship in hospitality or travel industry
  • Hospitality related working experience of minimum 1-2 years is desirable but not mandatory
  • First experiences in service- or call center of benefit
  • Fluent in German and English, ideally also in 3rd language
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications
  • Excellent data entry and typing skills
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
  • Project a professional company image through voice and online interactions
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Team player
