Embedded Software Support Engineer (229866)
For our Wind Turbine Controller (WTC) group in Service Wind Power we are looking for an Embedded Software Support Engineer to support and coordinate various tasks related to wind turbine controller software worldwide. The WTC group consists of 6 people who work closely together with our SCADA group, our Technical Support group and our Engineering department.
What are my responsibilities? · Building turbine software configuration profiles for new Wind Park projects · Creating software configuration updates campaigns for the global wind turbine fleet · Send software advises to our regional support teams regarding new software releases · Deep dive troubleshooting on the embedded wind turbine controller and software · Give input to R&D regarding new controller strategies and bug fixing · Onsite SAT testing of new turbine software releases · Analyzing operating data to mitigate defects and to optimize the controller software · Analyzing operation feedback to identify improvements · Programming/maintaining of internal software tools
What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have a bachelor in Software engineering, Electric engineering or Electronic engineering combined with a profound understanding of software and the connection between software and machine. · You have well-developed analytical skills as well as a structured and detail-oriented approach to your work · You thrive with a hectic work life and will do your best to service our customers and keep systems and turbines running · You are a dedicated team player, independent and a skilled communicator with good networking skills and thrive in a big international organization · You have excellent English skills, both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
