- ensuring an effective integration of EHS processes and standards in our operational organization For our global Offshore Environment, Health & Safety department, we are looking for an experienced EHS Specialist. You will be based at the Offshore headquaters in Vejle, Denmark, but will occasionally need to visit the project sites to support and follow up on their safety performances. What are my responsibilities? As an EHS Specialist, you will be a part of the EHS Programs & Implementation team, ensuring a high level of quality in our management system and support to our Zero Harm culture. More specifically, your main responsibilities will cover: • Providing Health and Safety support to our business • Promoting and improving health and safety standards, processes and procedures related to OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 • Implementation and support of OHSAS 18001/ISO related issues • Support the certification process of new project sites and specific equipment; e.g. by ensuring proper documentation such as Risk Assessments and Project EHS Plans • Maintenance of our Integrated Management System • Being ambassador for our Zero Harm culture including designing and driving EHS campaigns to effectively implement these on-site as well as in our offices • Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures and guidelines towards the management system and assisting locations in the implementation • Identifying Occupational Health and Safety requirements when entering new markets What do I need to qualify for this job? • An engineering or technical education combined with experience in project management within the offshore wind or construction industry • Advanced knowledge of OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001 and international EHS legislation • As a person, you are outgoing, decisive, change oriented and proactive, and you possess a high degree of intercultural awareness • In addition, you are open to new ways of thinking, and you have a result and quality oriented approach to your assignments • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing If you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
