Become a part of our ambitious Analytics team in Kamstrup

Because of an increased demand for our innovative and intelligent solutions worldwide, we are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Analytics team.

With direct reference to our Head of Data Analytics, you will become a part of our Data Analytics team and more specific the Technology R&D group where you will work closely together with other Data Scientists and highly skilled Software Developers and UX Designers. The Data Analytics team is a highly agile team utilizing the lean startup mindset, and innovates closely together with our utility clients. Our mission is to develop intelligent solutions that will enable our utility clients to make decisions based on insights from data.



A job focusing on co-innovating our analytics platform together with our most innovative customers and partners around the world

As our new Data Scientist your purpose is to lead and experiment with data towards new innovative solutions that utilizes the value hidden data from meters and grid sensors. Your focus will be tailored at our water business area. On a daily basis you will have direct contact to customers, Business Analysist, UX designers and Hardware Developers. You will be leading proof of concept projects and give instructions to our Software Development team who delivers the final commercial solution.

More specifically you will be responsible for:

  • Framing new ideas for data analytics based on empirical research
  • Leading POC projects together with customers
  • Designing and developing algorithms

You can expect around 15-20 travel days per year.

Your personality is important to us

You hold a Ph.D. or Master Degree in mathematics, physics or similar and have minimum 3-5 years of experience from a similar position. In addition it is a requirement that you have experience with the following programming technologies:

  • Python
  • R code
  • Shiny
  • GIS

Moroever, it will be considered an advantage if you have experience with one or more of the following technologies:

  • Julia programming
  • Linux
  • Azure

As you will get a key role in framing new intelligent solutions for our water utility customers, it will be a strong advantage if you have a solid knowledge about the utility industry or a background in physics (flow dynamics, hydraulic modelling etc.) which will enable you to explore and understand how a supply grid works.

As a person you will have a large contact network both inside the organization and in the interact with many of our customers. You are a strong communicator and able to understanding the customer’s needs. We expect you to set high ambitions for you work but mange to balance and set deadlines as well.

It is a requirement that you speak and write English fluently. German is an advantage since some of our customers are located in Germany.
