You will be based on one of our Jack-Up rigs operating in the North Sea working on 1/1 rotation. You report to the Senior Toolpusher or Tourpusher. Key Responsibilities Execute a safe drilling operation As our new Driller, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that daily drilling operations are executed in accordance with Maersk Drilling procedures and safety regulations. To do so, you you will be responsible for the drilling crew, operation and equipment during your shift. You will be responsible for supervising and carrying out the drilling and well control in connection with the drilling operations. You must ensure a safe operation of the drilling control system; drawworks; pipe handling systems; mud circulating systems; and Blow-out prevention (BOP) equipment in accordance with the requirements specified in the operating procedures. With the authority to instigate immediate action to prevent the occurrence of a potential non-conformance detected within your area of responsibility, it is your responsibility to inform the Senior Toolpusher/ Tourpusher of any deviation from the drilling programme. Who we are looking for 3-4 years of experience as Driller on offshore units. NOV Cyber base experience. HPHT and Aker experience is a big plus. Good knowledge of mathematics (passed Driller's Qualification course 1 & 2 or a similar level). Conversant with safety management principles. Computer literate and conversant with computer based control systems is preferred. Maersk Drilling is a core business unit within the A. P.
