Do you want to be our next Contract Manager and be a part of our SLS Legal & Contracts Affairs Department? We are looking for an business-minded, and self-motivated Contract Manager to join us.  As a Contract Manager you will be key member of the project team, collaborating closely with the Project Manager of the assigned project(s) to ensure that project(s) are delivered on time, on budget, with the required quality and within agreed specifications. You will support the project team with guidance and leadership to maximize opportunities and mitigate risk.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the contract to establish, with Project Manager, a contract management strategy
  • Facilitate Contract review with project team, raise contractual awareness during the project execution phase
  • Overall responsibility for all commercial and contractual Project activities
  • Establish and implement the project specific contractual procedures, specifically regarding claims, insurance, variations, correspondence and notifications
  • Ensures contract obligations are known and followed by the project team
  • Manage Variation Orders (VOR/VO), disputes and claims
  • Review and draft correspondence taking into consideration the parties rights and obligations in accordance with Internal procedures
  • Organizes and leads project stakeholders for contractual matters in order to obtain relevant information
  • Liaise with Legal department regarding all legal matters and potential legal issues in the projects
  • Support project purchasing with the establishment and negotiation of complex subcontracts and strategic procurements during project execution
  • Proactively provide advice on specific issues, risks, contractual/claims activities, considering the contract and Nexans’ business objectives.,

 

Requirements and Expectations

  • Post Graduate degree in Law, Engineering, Finance, Technical, Economics or business sciences is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years contract management experience or relevant work in EPCI projects
  • We appreciate if you have experience from EPCI contracts and familiar with the major construction contract forms including; FIDIC,NF, NTK, NEC, LOGIC, ORGALIM
  • Sound business judgment with the ability to balance contractual and business priorities, break down complex contractual problems, and articulate risks to partners in the business
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Customer orientation with excellent collaboration skills
  • Willingness to take on tasks both big and small
  • A commercial mindset and mentality to “own” your commercial and contractual activities
  • Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written, additional language skills are a plus
  • You are curious and enjoy finding solutions to practical problems and deal with variety of variables, while maintaining a high sense of quality and time.
  • Communicating with others comes natural to you even when there is a high pressure and time constraints.
