Sitecore is experiencing spectacular growth all over the world.  To build on Sitecore’s success and growth, we’re looking for a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to work as part of our dynamic and innovative engineering team.

 

Position Summary:

As an engineer on our Cloud Operations team, you will be working directly with the production systems behind all Sitecore Cloud offerings.

 

You will be responsible for maintenance operations, deployments, resolving technical incidents and executing commercial service requests, all while focused on continuous improvements of the service delivery capabilities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute technical and commercial operations of appropriate service catalogs
  • Identify and manage resolution of technical issues on production cloud systems
  • Monitor health of all Sitecore Cloud services, proactively react to outage or service level downgrade scenarios
  • Perform service deployments in high-availability production environments
  • Provide relevant status about the state of Sitecore Cloud systems by communicating to Sitecore customers, Technical Support and Product Development teams
  • Occasionally participate in 24x7x365 shifts
  • Continuously improve regular operations by automating procedures and optimizing processes

 

Job Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of experience in enterprise software development, technical support, IT Operations or similar
  • Strong automation track record, preferably using PowerShell and/or C#
  • Experience with execution of regular systems health monitoring
  • Hands-on experience in identifying, recording and tracking bug reports for Development teams
  • In-depth knowledge of network structure, web application architectures and related technologies
  • Production experience on Microsoft stack (Windows, IIS). Knowledge of .NET Framework and ASP.NET is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud environments specifics
  • Database administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB or similar
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and logical thinking skills

 

Desire Attributes:

  • Experience with ITIL or MOF (Microsoft Operations Framework). ITIL Certification is a plus
  • Configuration of advanced monitoring in production system with Azure App Insights, System Center Operations Manager or similar tools
  • Familiarity with Continuous Deployment practices, TeamCity or Jenkins tools
  • Understanding of security hardening, access management practices
  • Computer science, math or engineering degree is a plus
