Would you like to play a central role in setting the strategy for Operations in DONG Energy Wind Power – the world’s largest offshore wind operator? Join our team and become Business Developer in our department Operations Strategy and Management Support. We are a small informal team where curiosity, ambition and drive is a central part of supporting the management with the right perspectives and direction. We do so via high quality decision material on both strategic elements as well as ad hoc issues. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You will be based at our office in Gentofte near Copenhagen. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Business Developer you play a key role in securing the strategic development of the operational activities within Wind Power via direct interactions with the market, internal stakeholders and our customers. Your main focus is to set the strategic directions for Operations. This includes working both on the technical and commercial side of Operations to build and maintain the strategic roadmap required for DONG Wind Power Operations to reach its ambitious targets and remain a world class operator. The central part in your daily work is strategy development, strategic communication and strategic KPI setting. The strategy development is ongoing for the next 18 months where you and the team are deep diving in our options to recommend the strategic direction to management. Your work is part of the overall strategy process in Wind Power, and you specific role is to identify, conceptualise, mature and propose strategic initiatives which combined builds the best strategy road map that can be implemented in the line organisation. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •develop the Operations Strategy towards 2020/2025 for our operating assets and identify initiatives/areas where the organisation needs to focus and develop to secure and develop our position •always have core market insight and ensure strategic market intelligence is communicated and used as input in the strategy •ensure that our strategic road map is known and understood by Management all the way down to the technician on our wind farms, ensuring our strategy is directly linked to what Operations do on a daily basis •take an active role in securing the Operations preparation towards DONG Energy’s IPO process in 2017/2018 •support Management in executive meetings in regards to management presentations and sparring and drive standalone projects with a strategic scope towards either own or operate our wind farms. Your profile You have several years of experience with business or strategy development from either working with strategy in a larger international company or from consulting. Knowledge from the service or wind industry is a plus but not a prerequisite. As we drive the strategy process as well as various ad hoc projects and management support processes, you must have experience with project management and management presentations. You speak and write English fluently and are an expert at PowerPoint. As a person you are outgoing, you are a good communicator and networker and you possess strong problem solving and analytical skills.
