Founded in 1961, in the State of Santa Catarina (South of Brazil), WEG is nowadays a company with global implementation.
The manufacture of electric Motors was the company’s genesis, but today, WEG is a supplier of integrated solutions for Control
Systems, Operating and Protection of Motors, Distribution and Energy Transformation Systems.
Present in Portugal since 2002 through its industrial unit in Maia, and since 2017 with the new plant in Santo Tirso, WEG is
a current reference in the National Industry, dedicated to the manufacture of Electric Motors, design and implementation of
Solutions for Automation, Energy and Services.
With the capacity for Development, Research and Engineering in Portugal, WEG has been showing a sustainable growth,
