Lollipop Lane Tubbercurry was established in October 2006 and opened its doors to the public on the 5th February 2007 and was officially launched by then Minister for Children, Minister Brendan Smith TD. The purpose of Lollipop Lane is to provide quality, affordable early education to children aged 1 to 12 years in the local community. It is a

private service and is classified as a full-day care service under the Childcare Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016. It is open for 48 weeks per year, three-week closure throughout the year. Two weeks at Christmas and two weeks in August.

Lollipop Lane opened a second service in August 2018, based in the town of Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo. Since opening its doors in Tubbercurry, Lollipop Lane has become very well established in the community of Tubbercurry with outings and trips organised to various locations within the town such as the local restaurants, the Library, Bank, Garda Station, Nursing Home and the local Primary School. Lollipop Lane took the mammoth task of re-designing the large outdoor area into a child’s play world. The Garden has been designed with as many natural objects as possible. Lollipop Lane has a policy of “no such thing as bad weather only poor clothing”

In 2020 Lollipop Lane acquired a 3rd service Lollipop Lane Ox Crescent located on the Charlestown Road Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo.
