Kristinestad and its surroundings is a bilingual town (Swedish and Finnish) and municipality with a versatile and viable business sector. There are about 600 businesses in the area and the number of agricultures is about 320. Kristinestad is situated 100 km south of Vaasa, thus the international airport is not far away. Kristinestad can offer both urban and rural living and the town is a hybrid of traditional and modern.
