About the organisation
In 1998, the Soares family, João, Paulo, Rita, João and Maria Antónia, together, went in search of a dream. And a passion. A dream of space and time. A passion for nature and the products we take from it. Respecting her. They put their hands in the dirt. Felt the ground. They gave new life to Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, located in Albernoa, in the heart of Baixo Alentejo. Motivated by their dream and passion, they transformed that immense space frozen in time into a showcase for the production of high quality genuinely Alentejo products. To the wine, they added the creation of indigenous breed animals in total harmony with Nature and a strict protection regime with a protected designation of origin (PDO).
