EDR Antwerp shipyard is the largest shipyard in Belgium, specialized in ship maintenance and repairs, hull treatment, and marine construction. Challenging activities, which require skilful and motivated team members.

Over 150 vessels annually are being repaired and maintained at our shipyard in Antwerp and projects are performed on board of vessels across the world. EDR Antwerp Shipyard is growing rapidly, reclaiming the leading market position in Europe.

As part of EDR development and growth, we are strengthening our team to support the business which is necessary in a growing environment.

Your Responsibilities

Analyzing and following up the ongoing repair projects

Calculation and preparation of the project costs, in Excel

Retrieve and analyze data from the project managers, department foremen and procurement dept.

Physical attendances for technical review and data collection onboard the vessel.

Estimating required man hours and materials, for specified work

Pro-active assistance to the project manager

Close contact with colleagues of the estimation, procurement and technical departments

YOUR STRENGTHS

Strong English (technical) language skills, other languages are a surplus

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Analyze and review technical drawings (pipeline, electrical and machine drawings)

Computer literate with good MS Office skills

Experience in a ship repair / shipyard business

Motivated & willing to learn, you are a team player and you don’t have a “Nine-to-Five” mentality

Knowledge of ships and ship systems

Marine Engineer / Electro Mechanical degree or similar work experience
