About this opportunity



Welcome to the Data team. This is a role within the Investigation, Intelligence & Analytics area of Financial Crime prevention (FCIIA) that operates cross jurisdictional, proactive and reactive complex investigations. As a Technical Business Analyst you will play a valuable role in helping to establish an outstanding financial crime prevention capability.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support development and implementation of industry leading products and applications
  • Acting as a liaison between business and IT department
  • Understand what business really wants, elicit requirements and using those requirements to get IT onboard and propose solutions
  • Use your technical knowledge and experience to assess processes, suggest improvements, create specifications and support implementation of data-driven solutions
  • Drive discussions within IT development teams and with business to ensure deliverables are correctly understood and the best solutions are found
  • Drive development initiatives taking end-to-end ownership of deliverables
  • Enabling, coordinating and participating in User Acceptance Testing

     

You will play a valuable role in making us even more effective in our line of business, working together with our IT development partners. The role is based in Tallinn, in our modern offices in Ülemiste City. The position is likely to require some travel to other Nordea international sites.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Have a minimum 3 years of relevant work experience 
  • Have a professional approach in taking initiative and work proactively under your own direction with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Have a strong cultural awareness and also a dynamic approach, willing to take on extra responsibilities when needed
  • Have experience in translating business needs into development and solution design for development
  • Have an analytic and structured approach and you can work both individually and as part of a delivery team on site and remotely
  • Can define and document business requirements, and you have proficient computer skills over the full MS Office suite
  • Have a curious mind, not afraid of suggesting solutions that will increase the bank’s effectiveness and efficiency
  • Have excellent planning, organisational, and time management skill

Your experience and background: 

  • We imagine that you have a higher education preferably with a technical focus. You have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a business analyst (preferable with experience working together with IT or working with development in general). In addition the following items would be desirable:
  • Experience from financial services industry
  • Experience within financial crime prevention
  • Experience in working in an Agile environment
  • AML (ACAMS, ICA) or Investigations qualifications
