The European Job Day “Split the Jobs” is set to take place in Split, Croatia, from 11:00 to 17:00 on 21 March 2014.
Following the success of the first European Job Day in Croatia, held in Zagreb in October 2013, this year’s event will be hosted by the Faculty of Economics at the University of Split (Cvite Fiskovica 5) in Croatia’s second largest city. Situated on the Adriatic coast, Split is one of the country’s main tourist destinations.
The aim of the event is to provide information on EURES initiatives aimed at young jobseekers and to introduce them to the opportunities available on the European labour market. Young jobseekers and those interested in seasonal employment will have the chance to meet prospective employers and to talk to EURES advisers. The event will also give employers access to highly-qualified candidates to fill their vacancies.
For the first time, the event will have an online component to it: jobseekers in other parts of Croatia will be able to participate in the event online by taking part in live chat sessions and listening to video presentations.
