For our Technology department we are looking for an experienced, dedicated Quality Specialist to drive the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). Technology is where our new products are developed, and it is essential that potential defects are identified and corrected already early in the design phase. Our new Quality Specialist will work across different wind turbine platforms to support design engineers and quality managers to achieve this goal. Siemens Wind Power offers the right candidate a unique position in which to contribute to driving down cost-of-energy from wind power. The role is global and a broad interface with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and customers may be expected. All our work is carried out in project teams so the right candidate must be a strong team-player who is able to motivate his surroundings to create high quality products.

What are my responsibilities?

· Planning and facilitation of Design/Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (D-FMEA/P-FMEA) together with design engineers, technical experts and quality management. · Identifying special characteristics in the designs together with the design engineers. · Maintaining an overview of risks and mitigating actions in our QM systems. · Establishing appropriate control plans together with production and supplier quality management. · Reporting on the risk level of the entire turbine platform portfolio.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· We expect our new Quality Specialist to have at least three years of experience in a similar. role with a major industrial corporation. · In-depth knowledge of D-FMEA and P-FMEA processes. · Routine as a facilitator and ability to train others in the application of the process. · General knowledge of the industrial value chain from design through supply of components to assembly and delivery of final products. · Experience from one or more areas with special relevance to wind energy; e.g. fiber-glass production, hydraulics, power electronics, mechanical structures. · Great communication skills and fluency in English both orally and in writing.
