Qt Company’s engineers work on the Qt framework and tools, which enables our customers to create applications that run smoothly on many different platforms. Qt Safe Renderer is a certified UI framework for critical information used in automotive, medical, and other industries. It is written in compliance with the MISRA C++ standard. Qt Safe Renderer provides a seamless integration with the Qt toolchain. The QML language and Qt Quick Designer can be used together with Qt Safe Layout Tool to generate layout data for safety-critical UI elements.

In this role, you will be working on Qt Safe Renderer even better. You enjoy solving problems, understand the importance of good usability, and perhaps have some experience from safety-certified software already.

The ideal candidate...

  • is curious and creative
  • wants to write robust, modern C++
  • has a solid background in software engineering and knows the ins and outs of C++
  • has experience of developing safety certified software
  • Is familiar with MISRA guidelines
  • can work independently, managing your tasks and projects
  • have a focus on quality - keywords are continuous integration, testing and code reviews
  • communicate well, both online and face-to-face
  • fluently communicate in written and spoken English
  • can work closely with colleagues, both within the company and in the broader Qt community
  • is comfortable working in an international organization

We value the following skills:

  • know Qt and QML
  • have experience with agile software development
  • Low level memory handling experience
  • Understanding on software rendering and graphics in general
