The School of Marketing and Communication is a truly multidisciplinary community focusing on research and education in three areas: international business, marketing, and communication. The School is now inviting applications for a Tenure Track position in International business. The position will be filled primarily as a fixed-term Assistant or Associate Professor position and offers an excellent opportunity to build a multifaceted academic career in a dynamic and international environment.
Position description
In the subject of International business, the research and teaching focuses on: firms’ internationalization, foreign direct investments, and international marketing strategies. The selected candidate will strengthen and bring new knowledge to these focus areas. It is considered beneficial, if an applicant has research and/or teaching experience from some of the following themes:
- creation of new international business opportunities
- internationalization of start-up firms
- decision-making in internationalization
- digitalization and sustainability in firms’ internationalization
- innovations in the context of international business and marketing
The selected candidate will also have an opportunity to participate in the activities of University's three multi-disciplinary research platforms focusing on the key themes of: Energy and sustainable development, digital economy, and Innovation and entrepreneurship.
The tenure track position is research-oriented, but also includes teaching, thesis supervision, seeking external funding for research projects and working in these projects as well as university administrative tasks. The teaching and supervision of the position is primarily intended to support the Bachelor's and Master's programme ( EFMD accredited) in International business, and the Doctoral Programme in Business Studies.
Applicants are required to have an applicable doctoral degree together with excellent academic merit as well as evidence of the potential to produce high quality research, the teaching and supervision skills required in the position, and the ability to acquire external funding. In addition the successful candidate will have a broad network of collaborators and can show evidence of societal impact, scientific cooperation as well as international activities according to the career stage. Experience in development and administration within the academic community as well as pedagogical education are considered merits.
