F&B Assistant ( Waiter/Waitress)

Hayfield Family Collection  is  looking for highly efficient, well presented, well organised and energetic Food and Beverage assistants for our properties - the  4 * Deluxe Great Southern Killarney , the  4 * Killarney Royal  which is a member of Ireland's Blue Book and  the 5* Hayfield Manor in Cork City.

The ideal candidate is someone who's is passionate about guest service, has bags of stamina and enjoys the fast pace of working in an award winning environment. You also need to be able to stay calm and work as part of a team during a frenetic service and ensure a fantastic guest experience by following clear instruction and assisting your team-mates where needed.Shifts can vary from straight / split (morning & evenings).

Key delivery areas:

• As Food and Beverage Attendant your main function will be to provide excellent customer service by professionally and efficiently serving food and preparing and serving beverage to our Guests.
• Greet customers, make recommendations, answer questions and present the menu in a professional and friendly manner
• Informs guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if applicable
• Take orders and send them to kitchen staff through the POS system
• Run food orders when required
• Prepare the bills for beverages and meals ordered, take the cash and make change, and balance daily transactions
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor. Ensure that the restaurant / bar area is meticulously clean at all times
• Co - ordinate with kitchen staff, bar staff, front office to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Clean and clear the dining room tables
• Additional tasks as required by the supervisor/manager

The Successful Candidate will:

• Ideally Have previous experience in a similar role at 4*/5* level 

•Have a friendly and outgoing manner

•Be well-presented and maintain a professional image at all times through appearance

•Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•Have fluent English, both verbal and written

•Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of customer service

•Be a team player, flexible

•Have knowledge of food, wine and cocktails
