What is the Financial/ Accounting Analyst responsible for?                                       

· Works closely with their team leader to ensure proper set up of account management framework in line with KBC Group requirements;

· Supervises the account management, as carried out by first line account managers and other units responsible for different products and their proper bookings;

· Develops practical guidelines and reporting templates for and giving advice to the first-line GL-account management with regards to proper reflection of the transaction on the account;

· Performs the necessary controls, analysis and random checks on the completeness, accuracy and existence of balances on accounts and challenges the controls performed by first line account managers;

· Provides support and trains first-line GL-account managers on GL account management framework as required by KBC Group;

· Prepares reports for the deviations found and pending issues on the GL account management to the local risk management Committee;

· Develops requirements for automation of reconciliation and aging reports;

 

Your strengths?

•    University degree in Accounting or Finance

•    Previous experience in accounting, external auditing, bank account management, finance controlling or reporting analysis

•    Outstanding analytical and numerical skills and attention to details

•    Knowledge of Financial / Management accounting

•    Good knowledge on IFRS and accounting framework

•    ACCA or CIMA qualification (completed or in in progress) will be considered an advantage

•    Excellent computer skills – MS Office   

•    Excellent command of English (written and spoken)

•    Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
