System Engineer (m/f/d) Server Virtualization

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Operation of the bare-metal virtualization in the area of server operations
• Self-responsible operation, setup, update, backup and recovery of a hyperconverged infrastructure
• Creation and maintenance of automation for system provisioning of servers in the virtualized environment
• Administration of the HCI operating platform, capacity management and planning of changes
• Completion of operatiol documents and concepts
• Collaboration in international project teams and project lead
• Coordination and management of external subject matter experts

The position can be offered at any national Rheinmetall location.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• University degree or comparable education in the profession of IT
• Several years of professional experience in the field of server virtualization with VMware or Nutanix
• Confident in the use and creation of shell scripts for automation
• Knowledge in planning and implementing server deployment automation is required
• Good conceptual skills
• VMware or Nutanix certification is desirable
• Experience in project management is advantageous
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Enthusiasm for the set-up work in the context of an IT transformation
• Independent, self-organized, structured and professional working style
• Systematic thinking, methodical approach and creativity
• Distinct communicative and social competence for cooperation and coordination
• High level of commitment, motivation, ability to work in a team and under pressure
• Assertiveness, flexibility, intercultural competence and willingness to travel
