M&E Global is a defence contractor undertaking services on complex military equipment and aircraft for UK and US contractors. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Welder to join our team.

The role

Based in Mannheim, Germany you’ll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a US Military base.

Prior welding experience will be required, although additional training will be provided on site.

This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as a Welder, working on a diverse range of military equipment in an exciting environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to fulfil each essential duty:

  • Perform fusion welding on vehicles and ground support equipment to a qualified Welding Procedures Specification (WPS).
  • Perform structural fusion welding on parts and components per the requirements of specifications as prescribed by engineering drawings and work orders.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Fabricate manufacture-welded parts from engineering drawing without direct supervision.
  • Perform fusion welding and torch brazing for ground support equipment.
  • Ensure all procedures are completed per the requirements of the national welding and brazing codes and specifications.
  • Services, repairs, and overhauls.
