If so, the Product Marketing Manager position is the right one for you. The role will provide you many opportunities and interesting challenges, both locally and globally. You will be part of Power Transformers, a business unit within Hitachi Power Grids division that manufactures transformers.



Your Responsibilities

  • As Product Marketing Manager for Power Transformers within the European HUB you will get a broad role with various responsibilities, the possibility to work independently as well as together with passionate colleagues. You will be responsible for looking after the whole sales funnel from a supply point of view from the activation of the related quotation/ bid and proposal/tendering stage to price setting with the objective of speeding up the decision-making process and price decisions. The Product Marketing Managers in the Power Transformer units will functionally report to you. Our factories are in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Spain, Italy and Poland.
  • One of your main challenges will be to achieve the best possible product mix for the factories within the HUB with healthy/sustainable margins. You will participate and support the WCFE Market Manager organization in the negotiation of key contracts. Another important task is to ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. You will coach, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, as well as drive and ensure know-how sharing and cross collaboration.
  • The position includes leading the Bid management teams who have the responsibility for managing large multi factory proposals, making sure we are showing one face/voice to our customers as well as leading the application engineering who support our sales teams and customers with optimized solutions and development of customers technical specifications.
  • In this role you are also responsible for Product Promotion within the HUB in coordination with the BU Promotion Manager.

     

Your background

  • To be successful in this role, we believe you hold an Engineering degree, preferably with MBA and a minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing & sales (B2B, energy sector). It is important that you have good product marketing skills and knowledge of product line. Furthermore, you need to have good knowledge of market/customer’s needs.
  • Since you will be working in a global, multicultural environment, we expect you to be fluent in English, written and spoken alike.
  • On a personal level, you are an analytical leader with an outstanding drive, a structured and solution oriented working style, as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills. Moreover, your experience in an international environment and high degree of inter-cultural sensitivity help you coach and motivate by influence. Through extensive experience in negotiations you achieve commitment as well as results.
