The Position

This is a great opportunity to advance your expertise in a sustainable AI company, and to grow into a true heavyweight in data science. We are building something that already creates a seismic impact in the forest industry, and we are only getting started.

As a Full-Stack Data Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and developing data pipelines, combining complex data sets, and developing machine learning models. This means being involved end-to-end, from collecting data to designing and testing prediction models.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, backend engineers, applications developers, as well as QA engineers.

You have a solid theoretical background in data science (incl. data preparation, visualisation, predictive modelling and validation) as well as a hands-on software development background enabling you to address tasks end-to-end.

Qualities we think you need in order to thrive in this position

  • An advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other relevant quantitative field
  • Several years professional experience developing and validating supervised machine learning algorithms, such as image analysis, classification, regression, or time series analysis
  • Advanced Python programming skills with machine learning libraries such as numpy, scikit-learn, tensorflow / pytorch, OpenCV
  • Practical experience deploying and running an ML-based production system
  • Several years software development experience from commercial products or services
  • Strong communication skills in English, fluency in Finnish considered as a plus

The following skills will be an advantage

  • Experience in processing and analysing Geospatial Data
