Thank you for joining the Job and Career in Latvia, taking place online on May 25th 14.00 until 16.00 Latvian time (13.00 – 15.00 CEST)

To get the most of this event, you should:

  • Improve your profile / CV

Pay attention to your language, technical or soft skills, as well as educational fields. You can add your picture and if you have one, your Skype account ID. If you haven't done so yet, we strongly advise you to have your CV uploaded in English or have it retrieved from the EURES portal. You can as well add your LinkedIn profile or any online portfolio.

  • Apply for jobs & confirm your attendance to interviews

There will be plenty of jobs waiting for you on the platform. Browse through these vacancies and apply as soon as possible to those matching your skills and expectations. Uploading your CV is not enough; the employer can only view your profile/ CV when you apply for their jobs.

Companies may also invite you for one or more online interviews to take place on the event day.

In case you are pre-selected, you will get a notification by the employer(s) on possible time slots for the interview, to which you should answer as quickly as possible.

If you have already applied, you might have some invitations pending your confirmation. Please check regularly.

  • Prepare for the interview(s)

In order to better prepare, you should thoroughly research available information on the participating companies, their main projects and recruitment needs. Select the companies you want to approach, or who have invited you for an interview, identify the questions you may want to ask and try to anticipate possible questions from the employer. A cared personal look is important (even if the interview is online) and a good level of English combined with a positive attitude, will prove highly beneficial. Please make sure, ahead of the day of an online interview, you have access to:

  • PC, laptop, tablet / iPad or another mobile device plus a headset with a microphone and a webcam;

  • a stable internet connection;

If you have an interview timeslot confirmed – please go to "my job applications" section on your dashboard menu and simply click the button "start the video chat" to meet the employer on the time agreed. (In addition, you can indicate a range of communication tools such as Skype, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and any other tool of your choice which can be used by exhibitors to get in touch but we highly recommend the above mentioned solution).

  • Take advantage of the programme

It would be best if you also tried to take full advantage of the programme to be streamed on the event day. Select the presentations of interest to you, watch and interact via the open chat.

  • If you don't have any pre-set interviews...

On the event day, you can still make exploratory contacts with employers and get advice with info points on different services supporting your job search or mobility project by joining the one-to-one, live chat via Skype.

  • If you're not an EU/EEA or Swiss citizen...

Please bear in mind that, while you may participate in this event and use the www.europeanjobdays.eu platform for job search and meeting employers, you will still have additional legal obligations and administrative procedures to go through to get access to the European labour market.

 We advise you to check beforehand for additional information:

You should also be aware that employers may decide not to go through your application, due to the expected length of immigration procedures related to your hiring.

Jūs jau esat veicis pirmos soļus, lai, iespējams, satiktu savu nākošo darba devēju!

Taču, lai maksimāli izmantotu šī pasākuma priekšrocības, veiciet zemāk norādītās darbības.

  • Darba piedāvājumi un pieteikšanās darba intervijai

Regulāri apmeklējiet tiešsaistes darba dienas “Darbs un karjera Latvijā” mājaslapu, lai iepazītos ar pasākumam reģistrētajiem darba piedāvājumiem un pieteiktos uz tiem. Ņemiet vērā, ka tuvojoties pasākumam platformā reģistrējas un izvieto darba piedāvājumus arvien jauni darba devēji. Piesakieties uz atbilstošiem darba piedāvājumiem savlaicīgi jau pirms 25. maija, tādējādi dodot darba devējam iespēju laicīgi iepazīties ar Jūsu darba meklētāja profilu un CV. Tāpat svarīgi ir apmeklēt savu darba meklētāja profilu, lai apstiprinātu no darba devēja saņemto uzaicinājumu uz darba interviju.

  • Dalība tiešsaistē 25.maijā

Tiešsaistes pasākuma dienā, 25. maijā no plkst. 14.00 līdz 16.00 pēc Latvijas laika (13.00 – 15.00 CEST) pieslēdzieties savam darba meklētāja kontam. Izvēlieties pasākumu “Darbs un karjera Latvijā”. Izvēloties izvēlni “Exhibitors” (Dalībnieki), Jums būs pieejams darba devēju un citu dalībnieku saraksts, kuri dotajā brīdi ir tiešsaistē.  Klikšķinot uz izvēlēta dalībnieka nosaukuma ikonas, Jūs tiešsaistē sakontaktēsieties ar dalībnieku un varēsiet uzdot sev interesējošus jautājumus. Tāpat izvēlnē “Jobs” (Darba piedāvājumi) Jums būs pieejami visi aktuālie darba piedāvājumi. Ja būs atrasts atbilstošs darba piedāvājums, Jūs uzreiz tiešsaistē varēsiet kontaktēties ar izvēlēto darba devēju un apspriest darba iespējas un iegūt papildu informāciju no uzņēmuma pārstāvjiem. 

Ja Jūs iepriekš bijāt vienojušies ar darba devēju par interviju, tad norunātajā laikā kontaktējieties ar darba devēju, klikšķinot uz uzņēmuma nosaukuma ikonas izvēlnē “Exhibitors” (Dalībnieki). 

Tāpat tiešsaistes pasākuma laikā varēsiet sekot līdzi darba devēju, ekspertu un citām prezentācijām un izmantot publisko tērzēšanu (čatu), lai uzdotu jautājumus par pasākuma norisi.

  • Sagatavošanās intervijai

Lai labāk sagatavotos intervijai, jums rūpīgi jāizpēta pieejamā informācija par uzņēmumiem, kas piedalās, to galvenajiem projektiem un produktiem un darbinieku pieņemšanas vajadzībām. Atlasiet uzņēmumus, kuriem vēlaties pievienoties vai kuri ir uzaicinājuši jūs uz interviju, sagatavojiet jautājumus, kurus vēlaties uzdot, un mēģiniet paredzēt iespējamos darba devēja jautājumus. Ņemiet vērā, ka, lai gan pasākumā piedalīsies Latvijas darba devēji, intervija var norisināties latviešu, krievu vai angļu valodā. Vienojieties ar darba devēju par intervijas valodu.

Rūpīgs personiskais izskats ir būtisks, ja intervija notiks videorežīmā. Tāpat pareizas valodas lietošana un pozitīva attieksme ir svarīgas veiksmīgai intervijai.

  • Pirms tiešsaistes intervijas, lūdzu, pārliecinieties, vai jums ir piekļuve:
  • dators, klēpjdators, planšetdators vai cita mobilā ierīce, kā arī austiņas ar mikrofonu un tīmekļa kameru;
  • stabils interneta pieslēgums.

Ja Jūs tiksiet uzaicināti uz virtuālo interviju, tad, lūdzu, pārejiet uz izvēlnes sadaļu “mani darba pieteikumi” Jūsu profilā un noklikšķiniet uz pogas “sākt videozvanu”, lai tiktos ar darba devēju norunātajā laikā.
