We are looking for a Japanese chef with lots of passion for cooking. In the role as Japanese chef you will work in our cold and warm kitchen, you need to have knowledge about Classical Japanese warm dishes and classical sushi. You also need to be able to work both on your own and in a team with other chefs. Cooking for events, main dishes and have the possibility to represent us in different performances and challenges.
Noble House is a Japanese Izakaya est 1999 situated in the southern Gothenburg in a new, growing and developing area called Nya Hovås. Nya Hovås is unique because of its location, close to the sea and nature and at the same time a new center with restaurants, shops and 850 new apartments of different sizes. In our Japanese izakaya we have place for 28 persons inside, approximately 30 places outside and have about 200 orders of take-away/day. At the moment we are 6 employees, our guests are mainly living and working in the area, in the nearby villages and in Gothenburg.
Accommodation We can’t offer any accommodation that is our own but we help with our contacts to get living nearby or in Gothenburg that has direct buses and easy connections to get to the restaurant without the need of a car.
Personal profile You have at least 3 year work experience from work as a Japanese chef, are genuinely interested in Japanese food and cooking. You enjoy teamwork and positive contribution of the group is important, while you have the ability to work independently. You are a careful and prudent person who is accustomed to working in a fast pace. With the help of your eye for detail, you will see constant opportunities for development and Improvement.
The position applies full time work.
Our opening hours at the moment are Tuesday-Friday 11-20 and Saturday 16-20 and your schedule will be adapted to these hours and create a full-time employment.
