Electric Power - Associate Professor in the Department of Electricity and Electronics

At Bergen University College, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electricity and Electronics is the vacant position as Associate Professor in the field of electric power.

 

Responsibility and work


The responsibilities will include teaching, development of courses and curricula , supervision of project teams and the development of laboratory and problem solving within the 3 -year bachelor study in Electrical Power Engineering in the Department of electrical engineering. Teaching and research activities under the agreements and instructions that apply to the college.

The most relevant disciplines for the position will primarily be education in electric power engineering specialization as electrical installations, electrical machines, power electronics and installation technique.

Faculty of Engineering has a master's degree in energy technology. Participation in this program may also be part of the duties.

 

Qualification Requirements


Relevant doctoral degree. It is desirable to have relevant experience and teaching experience. Relevant professional experience and expertise in education, guidance, ICT and ability to cooperate will be emphasized. The emphasis will be on both professional and educational qualifications, especially on teaching experience in higher education. Personal qualities will be emphasized.

If the appointee don’t have practical teaching skills based on training or instruction and guidance, they have to attend courses in college education within two years from the date of appointment.

If there are no qualified applicants with a PhD, it may be necessary to employ an Assistant Professor with the necessary academic qualifications temporarily for one year.

 

Salary


The salary in job code 1011 Associate salary grade 57-77 ( NOK 473 400 - 696 600 NOK per year ) .
