Our newly formed quantitative trading team is looking for a talented developer. As part of the team you will be involved in research and development of algorithms used to trade energy commodities. This role will challenge your technical savvy working across all aspects of algorithmic trading; from writing technical indicators and strategies to helping maintain our trading framework. 

Working as a quantitative developer is both rewarding and challenging. The market constantly changes and we as a team must adapt accordingly. 

The team 

As a developer, you will be a part of a skilled scrum team, which in turn is a part of the IT development department, which consists of more than 50 colleagues. You can look forward to a diverse role where you will work with a varied range of technologies primarily focused on C# .NET and related stacks. The team is comprised of both analysts and developers leading to a team that both leans on the strengths of the individuals as well as provides a great learning experience.

Principal Responsibilities 

  • development, testing and validation of trading strategies 
  • supporting the entire process flow from analysis to live trading 
  • development of internal tools, data capture and data storage 

Your background 

  • We expect that you 
  • possess a relevant degree 
  • are talented and passionate about software development 
  • keep informed about technologies and methods 
  • are able to learn and adapt quickly 
  • have good communication skills, also in English (we are an international team) 
  • are familiar with object-oriented programming and C# .NET 

In addition, familiarity with any of the following would be an advantage 

  • Microsoft SQL Server 
  • ASP.NET WebAPI 
  • Windows Presentation Foundation (and the MVVM pattern) 
  • Other languages: R, Python 
  • basic knowledge of trading 

You should be business oriented and enjoy a busy and varied day. We regularly test new ideas and methods no one has tried before – so it is important that you are self-driven and show initiative.
