Linux Cloud R&D Lab Technical Specialist

ŁĄCZPOL company the leader of IT market and Business Partner of NOKIA is seeking exceptional candidates on the position of: Linux Cloud R&D Lab Technical Specialist.

Job Requirements – basic qualifications:

• Master degree in informatics or telecommunication;
• Proficiency in deploying and administration Linux;
• Very good knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies – linux based;
• Knowledge of networking – IPv4/IPv6 – at CCNP level;
• Troubleshooting and problem analysis skills;
• Experience with server hardware management across multiple vendors;
• Experience with security best practices in server configuration;
• Shell scripting, python programming;

Scope of work:

• Installation and administration of cloud infrastructure (Linux, KVM, cloud – openstack, cloudband)
• Ensure network security, resolving network issues health, provide network configurations
• Maintain remote connections and services with other sites (VPN)
• Install, configure and maintain Linux servers in mixed virtual/physical environment
• Prepare hardware for installation: BIOS, firmware update, Remote Management Configuration (e.g. ILO - Integrated Lights-Out, ALOM)
• Maintain and make changes to infrastructure services (Lab DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Advanced servers troubleshooting (incidents, performance) taking proper actions
• Maintain tools for remote management and alert monitoring
• Evaluate planned changes for systems environment and advice of any requirements to support such changes
• Provide system health check and trending reports (e.g. CPU, RAM, HDD)
• End-to-end responsible for day to day problems and changes
• Validate every major or critical changes that impact users
