EURES, in co-operation with the Swedish Employment Service Arbetsförmedlingen, Ideon Meeting and Lunds Municipality, will hold an IT Job Fair in Lund, Sweden on 24th September, 2015. This event will provide an excellent opportunity for companies working in the Swedish and European IT sector to meet with enthusiastic jobseekers.
The event will be held onsite and some of the participating companies will also provide information about themselves and their needs online for those who can’t participate in person.
At this onsite event, jobseekers will be able to meet with employers and representatives from Sweden, Denmark, UK, Switzerland and Belgium.
If you're an employer, you can expect to meet hundreds of qualified ICT jobseekers.
Information for exhibitors
Our spring IT job fair had about 1 000 visitors and 63 participating companies. A follow-up 4 weeks after the fair gave a result of 50 companies yielded approximately 250 interviews and 46 employments at once - ! lovely
- If your company wish to participate in our recruitment event, please register your attendance at www.europeanjobdays.eu, chose "Create Account" on top right side of the page and then chose "Register as an Exhibitor" at the latest on the 1th of September. We will promote your attendance through the webpage and from there we will spread information to the Public Employment Service and other stakeholders as LinkedIn groups, Facebook etc.
- Regarding the vacancies you only need to send us the amount and job titles. Please print your ads and take them to the fair for distribution. If your company have a career site we’ll help you link it to europeanjobdays.eu
– Please update your vacancies no later than 10th of September. - We will also promote you online by streaming information about your company, your vacancies and how the viewers can contact you. Basically what we need is you to send us a short movie (3-5 minutes) with the above information. We’ll assist you if needed.
– Please, send your movie no later than 10th of September. - Free of charge event: We provide a table, chairs and refreshments for 2 persons / company (there is also a cafeteria on the premises, where you can buy refreshments if you choose to be more than 2)
- We can not guarantee access to electricity / Wi-Fi.
- Please be in place at 9 am (one hour before the event starts). The event takes place in an open space and there is constantly a natural flow of people, therefore there is not possible to close the doors before and after the event. Expect that you will have candidates visiting you even after the event ends.

Getting there
The event will be held in Ideon Science Park, Lund, which is one of the most successful meeting places for visionaries, entrepreneurs and for venture capital in Scandinavia and in Europe. This venue is where many global ICT leaders began their journey and Ideon is currently home to about 350 companies, employing more than 2,700 people.

About Lund
Lund is a city in the province of Scania (Skåne), southern Sweden. The town has 82,800 inhabitants in 2010, out of a municipal total of 110,824. It is the seat of Lund Municipality, Skåne County. The city is believed to have been founded around 990, when Scania belonged to Denmark.
Lund is located in Sweden's largest agricultural district, in the southwest of Scania, less than ten kilometres (6.2 miles) from the sandy shore of the Oresund Strait. From the top of the Sankt Hans Hill it is possible to see Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.
Lund is located close to Malmö-Sturup Airport which is mainly used for domestic flights. Kastrup, the airport for Copenhagen is often used for longer international flights, and is about 33 minutes by train from Lund.
Lund is a centre of high tech companies, such as Sony Mobile Communications, Ericsson, Axis, and other companies. The Lund Institute of Technology has historical connections with the industrial economy. A business park, Ideon, is for high tech companies that have ties to the university.
Other important industries include medical technology (Gambro), pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, heat exchanger and separator (Alfa Laval), research centres sush as ESS (European Spalation Center) and Maxlab 4, The hospital and the university in Lund are two other major employers, with extensive research facilities.
Lund is also home of the Tetra Pak company, which produces packaging for perishable drinks, such as milk and orange juice.

There is a serious shortage of qualified workers both in the Swedish IT industry and in many of the European countries.
The objective of the IT event in Lund is to inform and promote work opportunities not only in Sweden but also in Europe, there will be companies participating from Denmark, UK, Switzerland and Belgium.
You are welcome to participate in this event and take the opportunity to meet employers in person and you don't need to register to be able to participate!
