Key responsibilities for the Commis Chef position:

  • Preparing mis-en-place for all menus.
  • Assisting in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to hotel standards, including staff meals.
  • Operate and clean equipment correctly and safely adhering to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensuring work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times.
  • Ensuring proper storage of goods.
  • Control the security of company stock and property.
  • Adhering to all regulations in respect of Food Safety, Health and Safety, hygiene, guest safety, fire regulations, emergency procedures, etc
  • Carry out any other duties or projects as may be notified by Management

The candidate should

  • Have excellent attention to detail and HACCP knowledge,

· Have previous experience in a busy kitchen

· Have strong communication and organisational skills

· Have the ability to adapt to change and work well under pressure and

  • be flexible with regards to working hours (must be available for weekends and early starts)

Although this positions are initially part time, depending on business levels, it may lead to full time so the candidates need to have the right to work full time in Ireland.
