What you will do
You will be part of the Intelligent Systems Area with a passion for new technologies. The members of the Area are distributed by projects.
Specifically, we need to incorporate an engineer with advanced knowledge of networks and virtualisation to work on research projects in the field of 5G.
You will join a young and dynamic team, with extensive experience in scalable architectures and, in general, in the application and development of Cloud and related technologies (Virtualisation, Edge, Operation).
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Research and monitoring of the latest system and network virtualisation technologies applicable in 5G networks.
- Advanced ICT and Cloud Infrastructure Management.
- You will support the design, implementation and evolution of Gradiant's virtualised network functions platform.
Therefore, your daily work will be based on helping your team to achieve high levels of quality in terms of product and process, and contributing to the Intelligent Systems area through outreach initiatives.
What we are looking for
Advanced development skills in Python and Go. Experience in C/C++ desirable.
Environment management: UNIX/Linux.
Experience in System and Network Virtualisation technologies. Containers, VMs, SDN, VXLAN, SR-IOV, etc.
Knowledge in management of virtualised services and networks (Openstack Neutron, Kubernetes-CNI, ServiceMesh, Ingress).
Passionate about new technologies and the problems to be solved. And, of course, be willing to offer new ideas.
Highly communicative, able to work with multiple teams: internal and external team members, customers and suppliers.
We are an organisation with international projects, so you need to be able to read English.
Telecommunications, Computer Science Degree or a related technical/scientific discipline would be an asset.
It would be great if you have
Experience with DPDK, VPP, eBPF packet processing technologies.
Experience with Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV) technologies.

Salary package. We are looking for the right person. Annual salary offer: between 24.000 €BA - 28.000 €BA + variable (10%) depending on the candidate's value.
