Front End Software Engineer

The Front-End Software Engineer is responsible for the development of functional and appealing web-based applications. He/she provides maintenance and enhancements of production websites. He/she cooperates and discusses with offshore design teams to deliver usable interfaces. He/she guarantees scouting and successful implementation and maintenance of state-of-the-art front-end technologies.

• Partner with in-house design team to implement, negotiate and customize design requirements for enhanced end-user experience
• Attend regular development team meetings, cooperate with both internal development team members and corporate digital art teams
• Collaborate with Analyst to understand and develop business and functional requirements
• Partner with QA team on testing, cooperation on testing itself
• Troubleshoots front-end related issues on existing pages
• Demonstrate application features to business partners
• Improve the user-experience by applying best practices and current industry trends

CHARACTERISTICS

• The Front End Developer has to have deep knowledge of React, HTML, JavaScript, so that he can perform outstanding UI on both internal and external web applications
• Backend background, Full stack skills are preferred
• The Front-End Software Engineer must be a solid communication partner to the graphic designers on the other hand, he/she has to be able to collaborate effectively with developers and architects.
• Regular daily use of English is a standard with presenting, cooperating with stakeholders, attending team/corporate meetings.
• He/she must be oriented within existing content management system and fully understand and reuse already implemented artefacts.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years of experience in Front End Development with modern modular frontend (single page applications in React, Angular, ...)
• Preferably degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Webdesign, or similar
• English written, spoken level B2
