Blue Ocean Robotics – a Robot Venture Factory in Odense, Denmark – develops, produces and sells professional service robots primarily in healthcare, hospitality, construction and agriculture. The portfolio of robots includes such brands as:

-GoBe Robots, a mobile telepresence robot for communication and social inclusion for e.g vulnerable persons. It heavily reduces CO2 emissions through reduced transportation, it reduces infection spread by enabling people to connect from remote locations and work together.

-UVD Robots, a mobile robot for disinfection, which saves lives in hospitals, Care Homes, schools, retail stores, airports and many more places by preventing infections from spreading.

-PTR Robots, a mobile robot for safe patient handling and rehabilitation; as well as others. The robot enables caretakers to do safe patient handling and rehabilitation of patients with stroke and similar types of paralysis.

Blue Ocean Robotics develops the robots from problem, idea and design to development, commercialization, and all the way to exit. Each robot is moved into its own subsidiary-venture company, making Blue Ocean Robotics the world’s first Robot Venture Factory. Blue Ocean Robotics supplies all our venture companies, who are selling the service robots, with high quality robots on-time in a volume that is scaling dramatically. Among other things, Blue Ocean Robotics has won one of the robot industry’s most prestigious international awards, the IERA Award.

The job

As a PTR robot specialist, you will have a unique opportunity to engage closely in the successful introduction of the robotic future within patient transfer and rehabilitation. You will be responsible for the implementation of PTR robots together with our partners and distributors, including installation, training and customer and distributor service. You will also be responsible for on-site and remote customer support in close cooperation with our product development and production teams in the region EMEA.

You will be working with installation, service and technical support to direct customers and distributors, herein under:

  • Installations of PTR Robots at customer locations i.e. hospitals, elderly care homes, and various other healthcare environments.
  • Providing supervision and support to installations, either done directly by PTR Robots or by distributors
  • Telephone, e-mail and chat support to users, customers and distributors
  • Temporary robot installations at exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Creation and communication of best practice descriptions, maintenance manuals, guides and other user-facing documentation.
  • Facilitation of training to distributors engineering and service teams both on-site and at HQ.
  • Delivering technical feed-back from robot installations to our product development team
  • The position requires travelling and is based at our HQ in Odense, Denmark.

 

Competencies

You have experience in service and support of technical products, preferably from healthcare and life science markets. Further skills required:

  • Educational background at Bachelor/Diploma level in computers, electronics, mechatronics,
  • software or equivalent
  • Skilled in using Terminal Commands in Linux operating systems
  • Good at communicating with customers, users and technical staff
  • Excellent English skills
  • Analytical approach and good at problem solving
  • Self motivating, structured and productive with a good overview
