Q/A Validation Engineer

We are looking for a multidisciplinary software engineer with excellent testing and integration skills and experience with networking and Linux operating systems.
Our customers' solutions portfolios serve a broad range of:
- Customized applications (in SatCom)
- Software integrations
- Product customizations ranging from professional equipment for satellite ground stations to consumer terminals
- Systems for deployment in the broadcast, consumer, and business-to-business markets as well as in government and defense markets.
As a part of the integration and testing team, you are responsible for ensuring the testing of the solutions in these markets.
As a QA Validation Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the integration and delivery of the complete end-to-end integrated solution and of the full functional testing
- Executing test plan for the required solution and complementing/adding to the existing test plans
- Writing technical documentation that adheres to an established standard
- Collaborate with different teams involved in customer solutions development and engineering products
- Independent coordination of own tasks to quality completion, with regular status/progress updates to your team leader/manager
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- A Master's degree in ICT, Software and/or Telecom
- Experience in systems troubleshooting and testing
- Thorough Linux experience with knowledge in how to configure, deploy, integrate and test services in a Linux platform
- Good level of network experience
- Scripting skills on Python/Bash/Ruby
- Troubleshooting with RDBMS (preferably MySQL) problems, Apache and Tomcat issues is a plus
- Strong communications skills, fluent in both spoken and written English. The knowledge of French or Dutch is considered an asset
