Your mission

As our new Software Developer, you will join our Software Test Team in Lyngby or Struer. Here, you will be responsible for designing and developing existing and new auto-test libraries and frameworks to provide test coverage on expansive projects, including audio and visual based devices built upon modern embedded software platforms. To accomplish this, you will communicate continuously with the software development teams and explore test needs and issues to create the right solutions. You will then communicate with fellow developers to ensure that the developed software fits the needs and remains continuously relevant and efficient.

As a part of our Software Test Team, you can look forward to becoming an active member of our agile software development setup with sprints and daily stand-ups. In our Scrum Teams, we encourage team members to learn through experiences, self-organize while working on a problem, and reflect on their wins and losses to continuously improve. As a Test Developer, you will have an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and modern tools to tackle challenging problems, build robust test solutions and ensure paramount quality standards. You will work with experienced software developers who are passionate about technology and eager to share their ideas and knowledge with you.

What you bring

We imagine that you are newly graduated, and/or possess 1-2 years of experience. We seek someone with a keen interest in writing intelligent automation programs in collaboration with our embedded platform developers that can validate/critique our products and ensure that they meet our benchmark quality standard. You enjoy working with testing principles and dedicating yourself to product quality. As a person, you have a strong desire to pick apart our processes, software, and products to explore and understand them and ultimately ensure the right test systems.

More specifically, we imagine you have:

  • Hands-on experience with programming - you can write clean scalable code using Agile software development and testing principles in Python or Java. Understanding software architecture and design principles will be a plus.
  • The ability to develop creative auto testing designs, frameworks, and scripts to minimize manual testing across multiple testing levels and technologies.
  • Understanding of DevOps CI/CD setup in an enterprise grade software development environment
  • Understanding of test management, scoping, planning, and reporting.
  • The ability to learn new technologies and modern practices and apply them in daily work.
  • Fluent communication skills in English.

Technical skills:

  • Python/Java to write automation framework and scripts.
  • Knowledge of HTTP(S) RESTful APIs, clients.
  • Git or other source control system.
  • Knowledge of docker or similar containerization technology will be a plus.
  • Github Actions or similar integration tool for CI/CD.
  • Jira, Xray for Jira or similar project and test management tool.
  • Linux, preferably Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi. Hands-on experience with Linux environment will be a plus.
