Wärtsilä Shared Service Center (WSSC) supports the Wärtsilä companies in financial accounting or other operational tasks and acts as a gatekeeper to ensure compliance. WSSC is striving for harmonized one global Wärtsilä way of working worldwide with high quality, timely, effective and efficient processes. WSSC is sharing best practices and knowledge with focus on continuous development and operational excellence.



We are now looking for Accountants to join our Customer Invoicing team. The position offers an opportunity to work in a multicultural environment and be involved in providing centralized global scope invoicing services to Wärtsilä network companies. The positions are temporary (6 – 12 months) and located in Vaasa, Finland.

 

Responsibilities

- Creating customer invoices both to internal and external customers globally

- Ensuring fulfilment of local legal invoicing requirements

- Ensuring correct invoicing values to ensure correct revenues/costs and margin

- Ensuring effective and timely invoicing according to agreed time schedules

- Distributing invoices to customers according to agreed ways

- Identifying, investigating and determining root causes and corrective actions related to invoicing bottlenecks

- Assisting internal stakeholders in questions related to invoicing

- Period end activities related to invoicing

- Participating in development projects related to harmonization of global invoicing processes

- Improving the process by effective and active teamwork

 

Requirements

- Financial education – B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Financial Accounting

- Pro-active attitude, self-going, fast learner, good team-player

- Excellent communication skills

- Excellent customer service skills

- Systematic and organized way of working, paying attention to details

- Flexibility and adaptability

- Result orientated; eager to learn and develop own professional skills and overall process

- Advanced skills in English. Other languages are an advantage.

- Advanced IT skills – SAP FI, SD & PS modules

- Work experience from Financial Accounting
