Information for employers

Are you a European engineering , healthcare or HORECA company looking for skilled professionals?

The EURES Jobweek in Canary islands aims to put graduates and skilled workers  in the Tourism & Hostelry, IT, engineering and health sectors in all Canary Islands in touch with potential employers across Europe, but specifically in Austria, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Denmark. Canary Islands have around 2 million inhabitants. Their main cities are Santa Cruz de Tenerife (around 207.000 inhabitants) and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (382.000 inhabitants) . There are two public universities, located on the two main islands: the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Between them, the two centres have around  50.000 students registered, of which over the half were studying scientific or technical subjects, that means a very interesting pool of talent.

The event will be an ideal opportunity for employers to promote their vacancies in Canary Islands on-site (and in all Spain & Europe online) and meet face-to-face with potential employees. The event is mainly focused on the HORECA, IT, engineering and Health sectors, but employers from other sectors are also welcome to advertise their vacancies.

By registering for the event you will already be able to make full use of the available services at the event’s website:

  • Posting an introduction to your organisation including company videos;
  • Publishing your job vacancies and opening them up to direct applications from registered jobseekers in the platform;
  • Searching among applicants for relevant jobseekers / CVs matching your recruitment profiles;
  • Screening applications with the help of automatic skills-based matching and pre-selection of candidates;
  • Booking interviews.

The onsite  events will take place in the two main Canarian cities (18th, 19th November in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; 20th and 21th November in Santa Cruz de Tenerife) and will be on-line on 18th and 19th November in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
